AI Proactive Prediction — a virtual time machine

Explore a possible future.

Move the timeline. Change the assumptions. See how they connect to a company’s work.

Public example with simulated data. Smokejumper builds client models around their actual systems, processes and people. This public example uses simulated data and simplified calculations, with no client-system connections. Its outputs demonstrate the interaction; they are not validated project predictions.

The roles behind the assumptions

These scripted role responses illustrate how responsibilities and customer demands can challenge a scenario. No autonomous agents are running.

Operations lead

Own readiness and delivery.

Working style
Detail-focused; escalates unverified readiness.
AI familiarity
Intermediate; needs exception-review practice.
Scoreboard
Delivery, equipment availability, meeting time.

Confirm that quality and readiness checks survive the implementation against the strategy.

Commercial lead

Own the bid-to-contract handoff.

Working style
Responsive; checks commitments with operations.
AI familiarity
Beginner; needs source-checking and RFQ practice.
Scoreboard
Turnaround, win rate and promise accuracy.

Check RFQ evidence and capacity before promising a delivery date.

Team member

Use, question and improve the workflow.

Working style
Practical; learns through worked examples.
AI familiarity
Beginner; needs protected education time.
Scoreboard
Competence, exceptions and workload.

Protect learning time and a route for raising exceptions.

Customer role

Challenge the delivery promise.

Demand assumption
10% above the simulated baseline.
Working style
Schedule-sensitive; expects traceable answers.
Scoreboard
Accepted quality, timing and communication.

Show that the delivery commitment reflects demand and available capacity.

The Smokejumper methodology—and this public example

Smokejumper models the client’s actual business and project. Simulated data stands in for information that is unavailable or restricted; it does not turn the client’s systems, processes or people into a fictional business. This public example uses sample baselines and simplified arithmetic to show the interaction, without connecting to client systems.

Modeled use equals target adoption × elapsed fraction of 12 months × education readiness (capped at 8 hours per person), with a working-style adjustment. Higher demand increases pressure; equipment availability and modeled use affect illustrative delivery, RFQ, cash and win-rate values. Limits keep the display within sensible ranges.

A client engagement defines the destination and models the project’s systems, processes, people, dependencies and outcomes. Smokejumper’s aim is accurate prediction across that project. Each prediction needs clear data provenance, assumptions and validation against measured outcomes. Real and simulated inputs are identified, and predicted and actual results remain distinct on the project scoreboard.

Cash is an illustrative working-capital change, not profit, valuation, a financial forecast or a promised return. This demonstration is not evidence from RTP or another client.
